About Lori Grimmett

Lori Grimmett Lori Grimmett is an award-winning and internationally published artist, photographer, and writer with a passion for all things creative. Lori is known as the 'Most Versatile Visual Artist' in the world --as she's worked in more than 40 different artistic mediums. As a professional artist for more than 26 years, she's lived at the Art of Living Monastery for the last 16 years, continually learning new skills and creating art.

She began her photographic education by studying large-format photography (including film, wet plate, and infrared), alternative processing, toning, platinum-palladium, hand coloring, and traditional darkroom. Over two decades, Lori also studied and taught wedding and portrait photography, studio lighting, commercial photography, Photoshop, Lightroom, and digital imaging.

Lori has been blessed to study under some of the greatest photographers of our time, including Art Wolfe, John Greengo, Neil Chaput de Saintonge (who studied directly under Ansel Adams), commercial photographer Jim Lersch and large format photographer Robert Hall. Her diverse education also includes the PPA (Professional Photographers of America), IPPA (Intermountain Professional Photographers Association), Rocky Mountain School of Photography, Epson Print Academy, Ritz University, and Nikon School.

Lori's diverse education and fine art also include Impasto Paintings (paint as thick as paste), Glowography (her own version of glow-in-the-dark art), Charcoal Drawings, Sumi-e (ink washing), 24-karat gold art, Maki-e, and Oil Paintings along with a line of clothing and writing inspirational books.

Her goal is to encourage her viewers to see God in all of creation, to view the world in surprising and magnificent ways they never expected, and to pass that inspiration on to others.

UPDATE:

After an accident during a routine surgery, Lori was left with severe injuries and bedridden, requiring 24-hour care, and rarely capable of having visitors or traveling more than 100 yards from her house for the past 16 years.

Thankfully, being isolated and alone doesn't mean being lonely. Lori has God, her caregiver and loving husband, Todd, and her never-ending creativity and imagination.

She still enjoys visiting new locations, but now, she travels through her imagination. When she's stable enough to sit at her easel, she paints. But on the days she's bedridden yet strong enough to use a laptop, digital art allows her to explore new destinations and create worlds that others can experience. Where some see a blank canvas, Lori sees unlimited possibilities!

PLEASE HELP:

Lori is no longer on social media, as spending time there challenges her damaged brain in ways that reduce her ability to use her limbs. Which inhibits her ability to eat and perform basic tasks, but also her ability to create art.

So, she uses her limited time at her computer to create and post art instead of promoting it. The only promotions of Lori Grimmett's art are from those of YOU who love her work and spread the word, which she deeply appreciates. :)

If you see something you love, please participate in Lori's #SHARE THE LOVE campaign by sharing her work through links on social media. Thank you so much! And special thanks to Nina Prommer, who started this fabulous idea and movement!

As always, 100% of Lori's profits from her artwork prints are dedicated to creating more art and supporting charities for children and families in need.

#ShareTheLove by sharing art. Thanks!!
